    Speedwork

I wasn’t originally going to post tonight because I’m feeling super lazy but I decided to go ahead because I do have some interesting things to say. This morning I made another smoothie attempt with my new rice protein, and I went the green monster route. I threw in: 1/2 cup of almond breeze 1 banana 1 handful of spinach 1/2  scoop of rice protein powder 1/2 tsp of maca powder 1 tsp of chia seeds It tasted like…medicine! But I drank it anyway. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions for those who have tried rice protein before? I know it has great benefits but I’m just having trouble…

    Killer Crane

I swear, I could eat the whole batch of superfood cookies that I made yesterday, they are so chewy and delicious! Ahem…anyway. I hope everyone is doing well on this Tuesday evening. Last night after participating in a tweet up for foodbuzz, I was motivated to make a breakfast cookie to have for breakfast this morning. I also wanted to try my new protein powder. Here’s the cookie! I threw in… 3/4 cup of oats 1/2 mashed banana 2 tbsp of unsweetened almond breeze 1 tbsp of  almond butter 1 tsp of chocolate rice protein powder 1 sprinkle of dark  chocolate chips It was bit too wet, probably because I…

    Superfood Cookies

I got a package in the mail today!  My order from iherb finally arrived! Last week I ordered Maca Powder, Chia Seeds, and Chocolate Rice Protein from iherb. I’ve been seeing the chia seeds and maca powder all over the blogosphere so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try them myself. FYI: Maca Powder According to iherb, “Studies have identified four alkaloids present in maca known to nourish the endocrine system. Maca root has been used as a stress-fighting adaptogen to increase stamina, boost libido and combat fatigue. Maca is a nutrient-dense whole food packed with vitamins, plant sterols as well as many essential minerals, fatty and amino…

    Bash Bish Falls

Yesterday after my 8 mile run, I came home and my sister told me she wanted to go hiking. I was totally up for it, since I love the outdoors and I need more hiking trips in my life. She did some research and wanted to check out Bash Bish Falls in Mount Washington, Massachusetts. The hike to the falls is only a half mile out and back, so a one mile easy hike seemed totally doable, even after using up most of my energy during my earlier run. It only took about an hour to get there. It is interesting because the hike starts out in Copake Falls in…

    One Busy Weekend

Hola everyone! Phew. Finally some time to blog! I’ve been neglecting the blog world this weekend, sorry about that! Time to get down to business. Let’s start with Saturday morning. I had two barbecues to go to on Saturday, so for breakfast I had a simple yogurt bowl! I threw in some honey vanilla Chobani, a 1/2 cup of oats, 1/2 of banana, and some fresh strawberries into the mix. It looked like this. All mixed together. The oats tasted a bit bland. But the fruit helped! After breakfast I went for an early bike ride. I wanted to get some exercise in because I knew I’d be eating a…
