Marathon Training: What I’ve Been Eating
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how well I’d be eating during marathon training. In an ideal world, I’d be eating clean most of the time…but we all know I have a thing for sweets. Weekend Happenings
First off, Happy Father’s Day to my Dad! Later this afternoon we’re picking up a Pizza from one of my Dad’s favorite pizza places and heading over to my parents to celebrate. Hope you’re having a great Dad’s Day so far. 🙂 Friday night Chris and I decided to put our CSA veggies to use and made a pizza. I whipped up some dough on Thursday night and had it ready to go for Friday when we got home. We got spinach in our CSA box this week–and it was delicious. Good Food and Walks in the Rain
Yesterday was such a busy & fun day in Pittsburgh! (Can you tell I couldn’t come up with a good title for this post??) Chris and I started our morning off right with an easy 2.0 mile run around Squirrel Hill. Its such a nice neighborhood! It was hot and humid at 10:00AM, and we finished our last run before the race in about 21 minutes. Easy peasy. We ended up meeting Chris’ cousin for brunch at Pamela’s Diner, the famous restaurant with the “best breakfast in Pittsburgh”.
