Weekend Happenings

First off, Happy Father’s Day to my Dad!

Later this afternoon we’re picking up a Pizza from one of my Dad’s favorite pizza places and heading over to my parents to celebrate. Hope you’re having a great Dad’s Day so far. 🙂

Friday night Chris and I decided to put our CSA veggies to use and made a pizza. I whipped up some dough on Thursday night and had it ready to go for Friday when we got home.

We got spinach in our CSA box this week–and it was delicious. It was so fresh and flavorful, better than any spinach I’ve ever tasted! We made huge bowls of spinach and red lettuce salads, too.

Chris topped our pizza with more spinach, peppers, and onions. It came out great!

Perfection.

I also tried a new-to-me beer, Saranac Blueberry Blonde.

It was okay–I honestly still prefer my favorite blueberry beer-Blue Point Blueberry!

We had a nice relaxing night in Friday!

Saturday Chris was out doing work, so I had the day to myself to relax. Of course, I spent the morning running. I ran 6.3 miles total for the day, which was just enough since it started getting pretty hot out.

Then, I headed to the pool for some reading.

It was getting really hot–so I came in after about 45 minutes in the sun. I actually had plans to hit up a yoga class at the Good Karma Studio! They had a special class yesterday called “Honor Yourself”. It was a free class, but had the option to donate to the Make a Wish Foundation!

I’m so glad I went because my favorite instructor, Bethany, was teaching! Afterward, there were vendors and such–it was like a little party in honor of a good cause.

The class was fantastic. I really love this studio!

After yoga I ran some errands and came home and finished off Season 2 of Game of Thrones…anyone else addicted to that show? I’m such a fantasy nerd and LOVE IT! Now, we must wait a whole year for the next season…
