    Some New Tart Cherry Juice

We all know how much I love Cheribundi Tart Cherry Juice. I drink it a lot during marathon training, after races,  and after strength workouts to prevent muscle soreness and fight inflammation. They recently sent me some of their new products to sample. Last night I tried the new Tart Cherry Restore. This flavor has 40 cherries and only 90 calories per serving.  I liked that a lot because I’m a big fan of their Light Cherry, which has the same amount of calories.  Restore cherry juice just has an added bonus. It contains high levels of vitamin B6, B12, Thiamin, Biotin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Panthothenic Acid and Folic Acid keep…

    Unmotivated

I don’t know what it is. Maybe its the weird, doom and gloom weather we’re having. Maybe just because its winter and its dark like, all the time, but lately my motivation for running has been nil. Tuesday night I had to talk myself into going to the gym. I went to yoga and then had to drag myself to the treadmill for a three mile run. I normally love yoga, but for some reason I just couldn’t get into it. I just didn’t want to be there–I’d rather have been on my couch! But, at least I made it to the gym? Yesterday I had 5 miles on the…

    HMRRC Winter Series #4 – 15K

Another winter series race in the books! Today was #4 of this season. I had no goals for this race since I felt pretty crappy during most of my runs this week but wanted to treat this race as a long run to get the miles in. The weather was okay…40 degrees but 20 mph winds! Thankfully they didn’t feel too bad! It did sprinkle at the start a bit but after the first mile I warmed up! I felt really great during the race and managed to hold a 9:45/mile pace for the whole time…and no walking! What is it with these winter series races?? Race stats Total miles:…

    Weekly Workout Schedule – 1.14.13

Well, I’m back from Florida! The weekend there was nice and unseasonably warm for January–in the 80s! I miss it already. Friday morning I went to the St. Sebastian River State Park to check out the trails with mom and dad and ended up going for a nice little 4 mile trail run! It was pretty deserted though. My parents were walking nearby so that was good. I ran 2 miles out and then 2  miles back. It was a 9 mile loop that I had originally wanted to run, but I figured it’d be too lonely and kind of scary to run that whole thing alone… I did end…
