    Recovering with Cheribundi

I have something fun to announce! You might remember a few months ago I reviewed Cheribundi, the tart cherry juice. Well, yesterday I got an awesome package. Cheribundi has offered to send me cases of tart juice to refuel with during marathon training! I’m so excited. Tart cherry juice has amazing benefits when consumed after an intense workout, it is supposed to reduce muscle soreness decrease inflammation. When I drank it after my half marathon in April, I did notice I wasn’t as sore the next day as I usually am. So I’ll definitely be drinking my share after my long runs this summer and fall throughout marathon training. FYI:…

    Will Run for Brunch

Happy Easter! I realized last night that I missed by blog’s 2 year anniversary. I believe it is sometime in March, but I forget the exact date. Yes, I’m a bad blogger! Oh well. Anyway–lets discuss yesterday’s run, shall we? Since I missed my 12 mile run last weekend, I knew I had to get it in this weekend, the weekend before my half marathon, or else I would be struggling through those 13.1 miles and I really didn’t want to run a crappy race. I mean, who does? Alicia, who is running the race with me in New York, joined me for the run Saturday morning! Alicia and I…

    Running to Lock 7

This morning I met Melissa for a run at the Niskayuna Bike Path! I haven’t been up here since last fall when the leaves were starting to turn! This time the leaves were gone. It was pretty windy when we started and we planned for 3 miles out and 3 miles back since Melissa had 6 miles on her training plan! We ended up stopping at Lock 7 to see the waterfall at the Lock. Of all my times running here I never stopped to see it. I think when I was in 4th grade we took a field trip on the Dutch Apple boat and went through this lock,…

    A Surprise 10 Miler

This morning I actually slept in got up at 8:00am while I waited the temperature to rise a few degrees for my morning long run. I’m trying to make it a habit to keep doing long runs on the weekend to maintain my running endurance this winter. Once it was a crisp and sunny 27 degrees, I set out for an 8 miler. It actually wasn’t cold at all. I think I figured out my cold weather running clothing situation for the rest of the season. I recently splurged invested in a Lululemon long sleeve pullover and fell in love with it. It keeps me SO warm (and as a…
