    A Hot Fall Run

Its official, fall is here! I saw a bunch of leaves falling this morning during my run, but ironically the weather was hot and humid. It was muggy as I headed out for my run, the temp said 63 but it felt like 80! It was in the 70s by the time I finished. After drinking one too many beers on Friday night I was unsure of how my run today would go. Thankfully I hydrated well and rested yesterday, so I felt 100% fine (despite humidity) during my run! Garmin Stats Total Distance – 11.5 Miles Total Elapsed Time – 1:53:14 Average Pace – 9:50/mile My splits, for my…

    Apples and a Long Run

Saturday, the day before the Tour de Habitat, I knew I had to get a long run in or else. My next half marathon is in less than two weeks! The past few weeks have been super busy the last time I ran over 10 miles was three weeks ago. Every summer my pace suffers. I feel slower. And every year I blame myself, when in reality, I need to blame the weather. Enter 40 degree fall temperatures. Perfect running weather. My hips were tight and my muscles were still sore from a hot yoga session I did on Wednesday night. So, I stopped at 7.0 miles, which isn’t too bad either. I spy leaves on the ground! Almost autumn. 🙂 The run was pretty uneventful since the trail was pretty dead on a weekday morning. I ran 7.0 miles in 1 hour and 9 minutes. Some mile splits, for my own benefit,…

    10.5(ish) & XOXO Brunch

This morning Chris and I headed to the bike path to do a long run. I really don’t have to start training for my next half marathon (in October) but I want to keep my long run distance up. We started running and after about two minutes my Garmin’s battery died (go figure). It was kind of nice not to worry about time though, I just ran by feel and I felt great. 🙂 We kept track of our miles by the mile markers on the path from the Mohawk Hudson Marathon! We ran out and back at least 3.5 miles, took a break for water and Gu, and then…
