11 Turned to 7

I am taking a long weekend off from work this weekend for the holiday. Hurray! So I moved up my long run yesterday morning. I wanted to do 11 miles, but my legs were just not feeling it. My hips were tight and my muscles were still sore from a hot yoga session I did on Wednesday night. So, I stopped at 7.0 miles, which isn’t too bad either.

I spy leaves on the ground! Almost autumn. 🙂

The run was pretty uneventful since the trail was pretty dead on a weekday morning.

I ran 7.0 miles in 1 hour and 9 minutes.

Some mile splits, for my own benefit, as I want to track my long run progress in the coming weeks.

Mile 1 – 9:39

Mile 2 – 9:36

Mile 3 – 9:29

Mile 4 – 11:46 (walked up a hill)

Mile 5 – 9:22

Mile 6 – 9:57

Mile 7 – 9:36

Average Pace – 9:55/mile (if it wasn’t for that darn mile 4 I would be extremely happy with my pace)

Total Time – 1:09:32

It was a decent run, considering how tired my legs were.

And now I’m off! Have a great holiday weekend! Any big plans?
