Impulse Obstacle Course

So, I just signed up for the Warrior Dash on a whim. I had been thinking about it for a while, but the expensive price of registration has been putting me off (and maybe the scary obstacles?) until today. A couple of my friends are doing it so I signed up for it on an impulse. Hey, an obstacle course race is one of my “bucket list” items, so why not do it and get it over with? ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Warrior Dash is described as: “the ultimate event for thrill-seeking athletes. This running series is held on some of the nation’s most demanding and unique terrain. Participants will conquer extreme obstacles and celebrate their feat with music, beer, warrior helmets and muddy shorts.” I hope I survive…

Anyway, onto other, less scary things. This morning I was in a green mood. A green monster mood, that is. Its been a long time since I made one, and I had some fresh spinach lying around, so I thought it would be a nice refreshing and energizing drink for the morning.

In my GM:

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 tsp of maple peanut butter
  • 1 tsp of chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp of maca powder
  • 1 banana

It was so green!

I hardly had time to drink it, so I brought it with me to work in a to-go coffee cup. Sadly it didn’t keep my energized, because I felt like a zombie at work. ๐Ÿ™

Today was a pretty uneventful day. I went to the gym after work and did some weight training, and stuck mostly to upper body, since I was planning on running too. I ran 4.5 miles on the treadmill in about 46 minutes. I was feeling pretty good too, so I followed up with some ab work on the mat. I really need to stop being so lazy when it comes to strength training and abs! That’s what I need to work on the most! Grrr.

I wasn’t in the mood to cook anything when I got home, so I busted out a microwavable meal. I got Tasty Bite Vegetable Korma at the grocery store the other day. It’s vegetarian, all natural and only 130 calories a serving! (1 serving = half the package.) I ate the whole thing, since I was so hungry, and it makes a pretty decent meal! Vegetable Korma was my favorite dish at the Indian Buffet. ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, I’m off to watch some True Blood! I recently discovered this show and now I’m addicted. ๐Ÿ™‚ Night everyone!
