Camping in the Wilderness
Okay, so, technically we weren’t in the wilderness, but we were in the Adirondacks! But, before I talk about my camping trip, I need to tell you all about my long run! Saturday morning I had to run eight miles before we left for camping, because lord knows I wouldn’t want to do it Sunday when I got back. I got up at 7:00 Saturday morning, feeling tired. My legs were stiff from running 2 days previously with no rest day. But, I forged on. Eight miles were on my plan, but I was feeling so tired during my run I thought I’d do seven and call it day. But…

A Rainy Day in Boston
Well, its Monday again! And yesterday Chris and I spent a nice (but rainy) day in Boston, MA. 🙂 We drove down in the morning and got there at around 1:00PM (just in time for lunch). Chris wanted to drive to there (it’s only a three hour drive from Albany) to meet up with his cousin, who was on vacation in Boston for a week. Before we had to meet up with him, Chris and I walked from Beacon Hill (where we parked) down to the Faneuil Hall to check out the sights and scout out a good place for lunch. There were so many places to choose from! We…

Summer in the City – Day 2: Kiss-In, Lush & Whole Foods Lunch
Missed Day One? Part 1 Summer in the City – Day 1: Pancakes, Wine & Cupcakes Part 2 Summer in the City – Day 1: Drinks at Macondo and the Spinto Band —– Onto Saturday morning in the city! The weather was gorgeous. I was so happy, because every time I’ve ever been to the city, it was either raining, or snowing, in the dead of winter. This was my first time visiting in the summer! 🙂 How perfect. Leaving times square, Chris & I noticed a commotion going on. It was the Times Square Kiss-In! There was a 26-foot statue replica of the famous photograph: (Source) It was so…

Summer in the City – Day 1: Drinks at Macondo and the Spinto Band
Missed Part One of my NYC recap? Summer in the City – Day 1: Pancakes, Wine & Cupcakes —– After gallivanting around midtown in the city, it was time for us to head down by Subway to the East Village to meet up with one of Chris’ friends. She took us to a tiki bar called Macondo! It was cool–kind of like an oasis in the big city. 🙂 We started out with a carafe of Guava and Whiskey, which was a bit too strong for me, but it was pretty tasty at first. The mixed drink was followed by a carafe of red sangria. Never any problems here. 🙂…
