Last night when I got home from work I had a package waiting for me! I don’t usually get packages so I had no idea what it was or who it was from. I opened it and found a bunch of goodies inside–The 2012 Holidays’ Simple Survival Kit! The box included: Food Should Taste Good chips (chocolate & sweet potato) Justin’s organic peanut butter cup A few new Larabar flavors Little Duck Organics snack of unsweetened dried fruit Smartwool socks (!!) What I’m Loving Right Now: Marathon Training Edition – Part II
Zensah Compression Sleeves At first I didn’t see the point in compression socks or sleeves. But some marathoners swear by them, so I figured I’d get a pair since I’ll be running high mile runs and want my legs to recover as fast as possible. These are so comfortable. My legs feel great when I wear them after running my long runs! I wore them during a run once and didn’t really notice much of a difference, so I probably won’t wear them while I run. And lets face it, they would look pretty weird with running crops. Honey Stinger Waffles I mentioned these in my marathon food post but…

What I’m Loving Right Now – Marathon Training Edition
Monday marked two months until the marathon! I figured I’d write a post on some things that have been making training easier! Injinji Toe Socks I just ordered my second pair of toe socks for marathon training. They are a bit thinner than my previous pair, which make them perfect for the warmer weather runs. They are so comfortable and help prevent blisters on my toes! I’m a huge fan. Yes, cat feet are in the photo too. Tart Cherry, Mango & Strawberry Protein Smoothies Since ordering my new favorite vanilla protein powder, I make these smoothies all the time. I also love adding Cheribundi to it for the long…

New Favorite Protein Powder
Last night after work I squeezed in a four mile run. Then I headed to the gym for my first ever personal training session! My sister and I went in for a free session since I’ve been going to my gym for 3.5 months and had yet to take advantage of the personal trainers. She gave us a really great one hour workout, a lot of interval type stuff which I really liked and wouldn’t normally do on my own. I wouldn’t ever pay for a trainer though, unless I had an income that allowed me to do so–but right now I can’t justify the extra expense when I can…

Infuse Your Mood Tea
Sun Chlorella USA recently sent me some tea to review. I figured, why not? I love tea and I would love the opportunity to try a new-to-me tea that is supposed to have some great health benefits. They sent me Infuse Your Mood, a 100% Natural Eleuthero Tea. What is Eleuthero Tea, you ask? Well, after researching it, I found out via Wikipedia that its actually an herb known as Siberian Ginseng, which is known to have some pretty good health benefits, like giving your body a natural energy boost and decreasing stress. Siberian Ginseng is adaptogenic, which means the herb is “a metabolic regulator which increases the ability of…
