Meals, Miles, Looks and Books for July

Meals After searching my photos for food in July–I only found my quesadilla from Muddaddy Flats. To be honest, I was so busy this month that I didn’t spend a lot of time in the kitchen! Dinners have been cereal, eggs, and other quick things. New goal for August: spend more time in the kitchen cooking real meals… Miles July marked my return to running! And a whopping 15 miles were ran this month! That’s usually a low weekly mileage for me, but I have been taking it easy to make sure my PF doesn’t come back. Most of my running has been on trails, like at Five Rivers, Peebles…

    What I’m Loving Right Now

This post is pretty random, but it’s been awhile since I shared some of my favorite things! Trail Running, obviously. Especially places with this view. Riding the ‘Bergs

Well, I think this weekend went by way too fast, don’t you? Saturday was Chris’ 30th Birthday. 🙂 It was also the same day as my cousin’s high school graduation party. It was a BLAST! Saturday night we celebrated Chris’ birthday–we hung out with friends and had ice cream cake that I got from Kurver Kreme. Their ice cream cakes are amazing. We had fun just hanging out and playing video games at our friends’ place. 🙂 Sunday Chris and I went out for a long bike ride. I mapped out a route that went up to Thacher and around Berne, to make sure we got lots of hills in.…

    Weekend in a Nutshell

Well, this weekend just flew by. I spent a majority of my weekend in New Jersey visiting my sister who just moved there at the end of May! Friday I drove down to South Jersey and I got there in time to hit up the shore. We only spent about an hour there since she lives only 15 minutes from Seaside. We walked the boardwalk because it was too cold and windy to enjoy the beach. Still pretty, though! We also had a drink at the Spicy Cantina. I had my first Blendini from Rita’s, an oreo custard mixed with mint chocolate chip Italian ice. Pretty tasty. Friday night was…

Meals, Miles, Looks, and Books for June

Happy Four of the July! Hope you all have some fun today celebrating! Amber‘s blog gave me the idea for this post. I thought this sounded fun way to recap June. Here we go. Meals In June I tried to get better at meal planning. I made a recipe from my Moosewood cookbook called a Mexican Pepper Casserole that turned out really tasty. I also went to Xs to Os for a tasty vegan brunch! They had a kale salad, tempeh bacon, sweet potato and squash hash, and a tofu “egg” casserole. It was delicious! At the end of June when I went to Pittsburgh, I tried Ethiopian food for…
