Surviving the Grand Opening of Trader Joe’s

I made it out alive! I went to the grand opening of Albany’s new Trader Joe’s this morning. The line was long, but nothing too bad. It was sort of like going out on Black Friday. Nothing I couldn’t handle! I ended up parking down the street at Colonie Center and walking a few blocks, which was the best idea ever, since there was no parking left at the store. Scenes from the Weekend

Chris’ Birthday Cheesecake – yes, I made it from scratch! It’s mint chocolate chip with chocolate ganache. The Deathcab for Cutie concert at Brewery Ommegang Saturday night. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. They were incredible & the venue was great. Hope everyone had a great weekend, too!

It was so fresh and flavorful, better than any spinach I’ve ever tasted! We made huge bowls of spinach…

They had a low-key wedding at Huntington Beach, also known as “Surf City”. It was a BEAUTIFUL ceremony and everything went off without a hitch. It was incredible. Congrats to Liam and Brittany, the bride and groom! After the ceremony, we went over to Spark Grill, right across from the Huntington Beach Pier. What a view we had! The cake was so adorable–they had Mickey and Minne cake toppers dressed as Star Wars characters. The reception was so much fun! Look at one of the featured beers on…
