What I’m Thankful For
I decided to take a vacation day today so I could relax and get some baking and cooking done before Thanksgiving!
One of my goodies is a batch of pumpkin blondies . 🙂 They were super easy to make! (But the recipe called them chocolate brownies. I disagree since they aren’t very chocolately and they are not chocolate in color, so I’m calling them blondies!)
Also, as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program, I was sent some coupons for free Duncan Hines products for review. (As always, the product was free but the opinions are my own.) I couldn’t say no to that. I happened to pick up the chocolate frosting because I figured it would be delicious on top of the brownies and it would be easy instead of making my own. Don’t get me wrong, I love home-made frosting too, but sometimes the canned frosting is just quicker and tastes just as good.
The frosting has a delicious rich chocolate flavor and it made a great addition to the blondie, as they weren’t too sweet to begin with. It was a good choice.
I’m leaving you with a list of things I’m thankful for this year, since it is Thanksgiving tomorrow and all. 🙂

I’m with you on canned frosting, I don’t care if it’s not homemade, it’s good!
Thankful for getting to know you better this year, Jen! …And finally being able to walk on the bottoms of my feet without pain 🙂

Those blondies look tasty! And what a fun thankful-for list. However, I’m surprised that you don’t have anything about earth in all its beauty and magnificence, or the like, on your list, with all the effort you put into being enviro-conscious. For what reason do you talk about all that “green”-centered and vegetarian efforts if you don’t appreciate the wonderful world we live in and the vast array of animal life that surrounds us? I only hear you complain about snow…
Jen
Good thinking I am thankful for the earth. but you are right, I do hate the snow.
