There’s Nothing Better Than Free Yoga
There’s nothing better than yoga bright and early in the morning on Saturday. 🙂 Especially when it’s a FREE class!
The Breathing Room is having a special for October–-free yoga on Saturday mornings at 9AM – 10AM. And it was wonderful. The studio is small but cute and has such a relaxing atmosphere. I loved it. It was basic yoga, so beginners were more than welcome. The stretching felt really nice and it was so calming. This is one of the reasons why I love taking actual yoga classes. And it was just what I need the day before my last long run (11 miles) before my half marathon.
I am definitely considering purchasing a package to go to yoga here a few times a week once my training is over and my schedule isn’t so hectic.
Such a great start to my day!
I came home to a nice warm bowl of Irish style organic steel cut oats! Mmm. So great for a cool fall day.
I topped my oats with strawberry jam, almond butter, and pecans!

I want to rewind a little bit and talk about Thursday evening. I went out to dinner with my parents for the first time in a while!
Meet my parents. Aren’t they cute?
We went to Peaches Cafe, one of my mom’s favorite restaurants. And one of mine also. Its a quaint little cafe/bakery with a full menu located in Stuyvesant Plaza.
You can also order cakes and cheesecakes to go, if you want. They all looked amazing.
They have breakfast on the menu at all times, which is another nice thing. Thursday I was in the mood for eggs.
I went with the breakfast burrito!
I didn’t realize it came with home fries, so I ended up splitting them with my mom. They were SO good, especially dipped in ketchup. My favorite.
The burrito was tasty too, filled with eggs, cheese, onions and peppers with a side of salsa. The wrap was a flakey and delicious.
Peaches also has burgers, sandwiches, wraps, you name it. Its a pretty decent menu. I noticed a few vegetarian wraps on the menu also, but I was in a breakfast mood. 🙂
My dad got a burger (he said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had), and my mom got a slice of quiche!
Okay, gotta run! I’m going to a family party this afternoon. Enjoy your Saturday!
