Exploring Richmond and the Race Expo
WOW. I have so much to say about the race. But I’m going to wait and tell you about Friday before I get into any marathon details. How mean is that? 😉 Anyway, Friday morning Melissa and I got up pretty early. We don’t have a car here so we were limited in what we could do. We ate breakfast at the hotel and then decided to walk down to capital square to sight see and take pictures. We walked around to where the start was supposed to be and found signs for the course. It was starting to feel VERY real. We got to the race expo at around…

Marathon Training: What I’ve Been Eating
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how well I’d be eating during marathon training. In an ideal world, I’d be eating clean most of the time…but we all know I have a thing for sweets. A Run Filled Weekend
What a run-filled weekend! Yesterday Melissa and I got our long run–a scheduled 19 miles for both of us. Fives weeks until the marathon and we’re both in pretty good shape. Thankfully my ankle has been okay since taking a spill at Ragnar. Our run consisted of two nine mile loops plus one mile extra on the first one. Let me say, the second loop was hard. It is a very hilly route that we’ve been training on for the past few months and so far it has been worth it! I tackled the hills pretty good the first loop, but for the second I was getting tired. After hitting…
