Goals

Revisiting My Summer Goals

Now that summer has come to a close (unofficially), I want to take a look back at some of the goals I set up for myself back in June:

My goal is to run at least 10 races in 2010! I think I can do it. My first half marathon on 10/10/10 will be my 10th race in 2010! I also have a couple more lined up for the end of the year, so I will defintely be surpassing my 10 races of 2010!

My Summer Goals Were:

Do some trail running – Did two trail runs this summer! Still, not as much as I would have liked.

Go hiking in the Adirondacks – this did not get done this summer, actually, I hardly did any hiking, but I hope to do more this fall, so I better get going!

Go camping at least once! Check! Chris and I went camping with friends in Lake George over Labor Day weekend.

Take some yoga classes Check! I took a hot yoga class for the first time.

Go to more farmer’s markets and eat local food – I didn’t get to go to as many markets as I wanted to, but occassionly I stopped at the one near my office–but didn’t buy much–some strawberries and eggplant! I’ve been trying to save money, and sometimes local produce is out of my budget. 🙁

Try a few new local restaurantsI’ve only tried a few new local restaurants. One being Hana Japanese Steakhouse where I got to see some Hibachi in action!

Be more creative in the kitchen – I didn’t do anything that new in the kitchen, but I did some baking, and made some really good flatbread pizzas.

Cut back on eating sweets (like chocolate!) – I didn’t cut back as much as I wanted to, I’m still working on this!

Travel and take at least 1 mini vacation this summer – So far this summer I’ve traveled to NYC, Boston, and Pittsburgh! Hurray!

Do you make summer goals for yourself? If so, did you complete any of them?
