I have never seen any of the Rocky movies, but that doesn’t mean I can’t climb up the Rocky Steps just like in the film!
Sunday morning before the close of the Healthy Living Summit, a LARGE group of bloggers participated in the the 5K fun run, which ended up being a walk for sight-seeing.
We made it to our destination!
What a view.
A bunch of ran back to the hotel, a speedy 1.3 miles from the Rocky Steps (AKA Philadelphia Museum of Art) because we were starving and had a Quaker Oatmeal bar waiting for us!
It was super humid out, and hot oatmeal wasn’t appealing to me so I hit up the cold cereal. My new favorite are the Quaker Oatmeal Squares. This cereal is like crack its so good. I also had a peach mango greek yogurt, which was delicious, along with an apple looking peach? What is this thing? It was good.
We said goodbye to our fellow bloggers and I even got to say goodbye to one of my favorite bloggers, Caitlin!
Don’t we look awesome in our HLS shirts?
The weekend was a whirlwind of fun, information and new friends. I had never attended a conference before of any kind during my adult life so it was definitely eye opening and an interesting experience. I went into it without any expectations, which I think was a good thing. It was very well organized and even though there were some setbacks..(no hotel internet!) we made the most of it! (Thank goodness for Starbucks!) Thanks to all the wonderful sponsors and for all the organizers for planning such a fun event!
I also realize how much I love blogging. Even though it is really a hobby, I secretly consider it my real job because I love it so much. Health, food and fitness is such a passion of mine, I wish I could make more of a living from it.
I’m definitely considering going to next year’s HLS! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for that.

Blogging started out as my hobby, but I always secretly saw it as my job too – stick with it and who knows where it may lead? 🙂
And I’m sorry about the no free internet. Don’t even get me started on the issues I had with the Marriott over that, it’s just hard to find a nice hotel in any downtown city with free internet anymore.
