Homemade Pizza and MRI Results

Homemade pizza is one of my favorite foods. Actually, all types of pizza are. But I love making it at home and its sooo easy to do.

Chris and I first made pizza together on new years eve 2009..and it was pretty much a disaster. We got a pizza stone for the occasion, from Hannaford, and when it came out of the oven, the crust ended up sticking to it. The pizza was just barely salvaged. We ate it, anyway. Lesson learned: don’t buy a pizza stone at Hannaford.

But now we’ve wised up and we use a baking sheet. We made some plain cheese pizza last night, using the garlic herb pizza dough from Trader Joe’s that Katie got me last time she was there.

It came out fantastic.

The crust had an interesting flavor–you could definitely tell that it was herbed crust.

The cheese was all gooey and delicious. I love cheesy pizza.

Of course we had wine to go with our pizza. Special California wine! And it fits with our Green Challenge standards, since Chris got the wine in California when he went to San Francisco in November!

The wine was a Syrah, and it was so good! It had a really bold flavor.

Its really a green wine! 😉

Yesterday afternoon I finally heard back from the doctor, after numerous calls pestering them about my MRI results-–it turns out they LOST them. They had to request them again from the imaging center and finally called to tell what they were. The nurse said they found NOTHING on the MRI. Which is good news, right?? I’m really excited that it’s nothing serious! No tear or fracture! And the best part is: the doctor said I could run once before my appointment next week! Hurray!

But, I’m still having slight hip pain and stiffness, particularly when I’m doing certain yoga poses, like lifting my leg up and down, vertically. It’s weird. I went to a yoga class after work tonight and it was really hard for me to lift my leg while in plank position. I figured taking a three week break from running would help it, but maybe it has nothing to do with running? I guess I will find out the solution next week.

Great News! Woohooo! With all this rest, you should be good as new! If you want to run together next weekend, let me know. 🙂

I love homemade pizza too! My hubby & I always make our own. I actually have a blog started about it…one of these days I will publish it.

    Glad the MRI’s ok, Jen!
A few years ago, my friend (coincidentally also named Chris) and I made pizza with a pizza stone, and the crust stuck. MAybe there’s a trick to it – I don’t know.
