Getting Ready
So, tomorrow is my first race of 2010! I’m excited and little bit nervous. I made a really good dinner tonight! A roasted red pepper and green bean quesadilla. With sauteed green beans on the side!
A pretty good concoction if I do say so myself. It was yummy. For dessert I had a couple scoops of my mom’s home made strawberry rhubarb crumble. That was delicious. I also had a couple chocolate chip cookies. My bad, I guess I just couldn’t resist. 🙁 I wrote up the recipe for the quesadilla and it can be found here.
I’ve also been getting all of my gear ready for tomorrow. I need to make sure I have everything packed in my gym bag to bring to work!
Checklist
- Sneakers
- Running shorts
- Running tank
- Socks
- Sportsbra
- Garmin
- Spibelt
- Hairclips and headband
- Sunglasses
- Bib (I left it on my desk at work)
So I should be all set for tomorrow. I’m also working on packing my lunch. I think I’m going to stick with Special K Protein cereal with soymilk and fruit, since I know it won’t bother my stomach. And a Luna bar to have around 5:00, since the race starts at 6:45 and I won’t be eating dinner beforehand. I also need to remember to drink lots of water tomorrow since its going to be pretty warm out.
Since I didn’t run or go to the gym tonight I did about 40 minutes of Namaste Yoga from Fit TV. It felt pretty good. I’m wondering if I should walk on my lunch break tomorrow or not. I probably will just to stretch my legs some more.

What did you use to the outside of your quesadilla? It looks good. Also, good luck on your race!

Thanks!
The outside? I just spray the pan with pam. I don’t use butter or anything. Its good!
