For Boston
Words escape me right now. But I feel like I have to write something since the tragedy in Boston hits really close to home. I’m still shocked and upset about the bombings. The finish line of a race is supposed to be a joyous experience of celebration, not one of heartbreak and tragedy.
I can’t wear a race shirt today to support Boston, but I did get up early this morning and run–because I felt like I had to run for Boston.
I’ll leave you with an article that I read last night from the Washington Post, “If You Are Losing Faith in Human Nature, Go Out and Watch a Marathon.”
And this, “13 Examples of People Being Awesome After the Attack on the Boston Marathon“.

Nicely done. I also had that feeling of needing to say something about this even though the words didn’t come easily.
