Favorite Beauty Products

I wrote a few posts about some of my favorite beauty products a while ago, so I figured now would be a good time to do another one to mix it up a little bit. I know this is mainly a running blog, but I like beauty stuff too! I wanted to share a few of my favorite products as of late. All of these were either gifts from family or products I bought myself!

Simple Face Wash

My sister introduced me to this face wash recently. I had been using Trader Joe’s face wash but wanted to switch to something a little better. I have strange skin because I tend to get breakouts a lot but it’s always really dry in the winter. Anyway, I liked this one because it’s not full of tons of weird ingredients, it’s just like the name implies–simple. It also leaves my face feeling soft after I wash it…so far I really like it!

Diorshow Mascara

My parents gifted me with a Sephora gift card for Christmas this year. I took advantage and bought really expensive mascara. I was using Tart’s clay mascara which I did like, but I wanted something different so I went with this one and I really like it. I hope it lasts forever because I don’t think I can spend $25 on mascara again without a giftcard…

Coach Poppy

When I ordered my eye shadow I got to choose a bunch of samples–one of them was a Coach perfume sample…I ended up really loving the Poppy scent–its floral and girly! I’m probably super late to the party on this one but I might end up getting one of the full size bottles when it runs out.

Givenchy Lip Gloss

This is one of my favorite lip colors that I got for Christmas in a giftset one year…a while ago. I still have it and try to use the last bit up because the regular price for the full size is almost $30. I love this gloss so much, it goes on smooth and doesn’t get clumpy and gives a nice pop of color. I will probably end up buying it eventually though because I like it so much….when I have extra money to spend on lip gloss. 😉

Charlotte Ronson Eye Shadow Palate

This is another eye color palate I ordered with my Sephora giftcard but it was actually on sale for $10 at the time. I think the exact colors are a bit different since that one is now out of stock but the pink and brown are a bit similar. My cat knocked it off the bathroom counter and it crumbled, but thankfully Cassie on twitter pointed out there was a way to salvage it!

Sinful Colors Nail Polish

These polishes are awesome. They are $1.99 at target and other drug stores and they are clearly OPI knock offs but they are great! There are so many colors to choose from (I’m into the bright spring colors right now) and they actually stay on for a long time…a few days with no chipping, which is saying something because I’m really hard on my nails.

Essie Good to Go Top Coat

Even though I always buy the cheaper nail polish, I needed a decent quality top coat so my DIY manicure lasts more than a day. I recently got this at Rite Aid and is great! I know everyone swears by Essie polish and this one is great too–the top coat dries quickly and it makes my nail color so shiny.

I love Sinful colors polishes. I have a bright neon and a dark teal that I use quite often. I am sporadic about painting my nails, so the inexpensive price tag is quite nice, because I don’t feel like I am wasting money if I buy a color and only use it twice.
