Valentine’s Dinner at Pump Station

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day! Hope it was better than Grumpy Cat’s

Our V-day dinner was nice and low key. We went out right after work before the big crowds hit. Chris and I went to the Pump Station, one of our favorite local brewery/restaurants. I ordered the 10oz Bock, which was very tasty! I really like that they have the option of the smaller size, too, in case I didn’t end up liking it that much. Thankfully I liked it!

Chris got the onion rings, which I’d never tried before. They are beer-battered and not overly fried, which I really liked! The crispy coating was delicious.

I went with one of the Valentine’s Day specials for dinner, the lobster ravioli with jumbo prawns, scallops, spinach and tomatoes. It was delicious! I don’t usually order pasta out so this was a real treat…I love lobster ravioli. I was surprised that I had half to take home for leftovers!

The pump station was advertising a free gift for couples who came in for V-day dinner, but we didn’t get anything–and forgot about it. I didn’t think about it until this morning when I realized we didn’t get anything. That’s a disappointing fail on their end. Why promote something and then not follow through?

Speaking of beer and breweries, I’ve been meaning to mention this for a while, but Chris now has his own beer blog! He and a few of his friends are blogging about local beer events and reviewing craft beers over at The Beer Doctors…you should definitely check them out!
