Coffee
The past five years, I have been a tea-addict. I brew my own green tea with a loose-leaf tea brewer that I love and I have a stash of about 10 different teas in my cabinet at work.
However, I always loved the smell and taste of coffee. I gave up coffee in 2008 just because. I wanted to quit drinking it because it always loaded it up with a ton of sugar and creamers and didn’t think I’d like it without it.
One day I was studying for finals at Starbucks with my friend Laura when they gave out a free iced mocha, which I later found out was espresso. Laura ran up and got it, and I drank my first coffee drink in five years! I figured, why not? I’m starting full-time grad school in the fall, I might as well start drinking coffee now.
Well, I recently started brewing my own iced coffee and I’m back to drinking it again. I love the taste (especially mocha flavored), so I figured I’d learn to make my own so I didn’t have to spend unnecessary money at coffee shops and drink those calorie bombs.
I bought a small french press at Target for around $17 and a bag of dark chocolate flavored coffee. Every night I brew the coffee cold. I put the grounds + 12 oz of cold water in the press, refrigerate over night, press & pour, and add a touch of water and soy milk. Its so tasty.
What is your favorite coffee drink? I’m obsessed with that iced mocha but don’t want to make a habit out of drinking them…

Trader Joe’s has a great coffee selection. I love their French Roast!
