    Yoga Meltdown!

Last night I stopped by Walmart to pick up a few exercise DVDs, since I feel like I could use more strength training in my life. One of the DVDs I got was Jillian Michaels’ “Yoga Meltdown“. I did it last night for the first time! I was expecting to get my butt kicked, since this is Jillian and all, but honestly, it wasn’t that hard. I did the Level 1 Workout, which is for beginners or intermediates. It was 30 minutes of hardcore yoga poses and then movement within the pose for a more of an aerobic workout. I was dripping sweat the entire time, but I didn’t find…

    Indian Ladder Farms Food Festival

Happy Fathers day to my dad and all the other dads out there. I hope you all had a nice day! Mine was pretty low key. I started the day out nice. My mom and I decided to head to the Indian Ladder Farms local food festival. We went pretty early to see what they had. There weren’t too many vendors there, which I was kind of disappointed about. But they did have animals! Kitties for adoption! A donkey named Eeyore. And bunnies! So cute! Out of all the vendors my mom and I only got a couple of things: some vegetable and roasted red pepper bruchetta, more maple peanut…

    The Jimbo

Surprise! A Friday Post!! I didn’t think I’d have enough time/anything interesting to write about today but I do! Lets start with last night.    I spent the evening gallivanting around Lark Street after work. I was supposed to meet up with a bunch of friends for my friend’s 25th birthday celebration at 9pm, but I was super super hungry after work. At around 8 I met my sister for some pre-celebratory dinner at Bombers. We ordered downstairs since there is usually a wait upstairs.      (Photo from google images.) I took a photo exactly like this back in the day!  Lets discuss Bombers for a minute. I have a love/hate relationship…

    A Not-That-Exciting Lunch

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you all are having a great Thursday. I’m making a quick post right now because I’m going to be super busy these next couple days and I’m not sure when I’ll get to blogging again. Probably at some point on Saturday! Anyway, last night I went to the gym after work for what was supposed to be a five-mile tempo run. I was going to turn into a six-mile tempo run, but that changed. I ran the first two miles as a warm up and then ran two miles at a 9:30 pace, which was supposed to last three miles, but I only made it until mile four where…

    Liquid Sunshine

Last night I met up with my cousin Liz! She recently just returned from a vacation in France so I wanted to hang out with her so we could catch up! I brought a bottle of Cascade Mountain Harvest Rose, a local wine, over to her apartment and we each had a couple glasses before going to dinner. The wine was very fruity and delicious. 🙂 We eventually made it to the Wine Bar on Lark. We decided on another bottle of wine…a sparking white called Moscato D’Asti. When we ordered it, the waitress described it as tasting like “liquid sunshine“. How could we not try that? 😉 It smelled…
