A Not-That-Exciting Lunch

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you all are having a great Thursday. I’m making a quick post right now because I’m going to be super busy these next couple days and I’m not sure when I’ll get to blogging again. Probably at some point on Saturday!

Anyway, last night I went to the gym after work for what was supposed to be a five-mile tempo run. I was going to turn into a six-mile tempo run, but that changed. I ran the first two miles as a warm up and then ran two miles at a 9:30 pace, which was supposed to last three miles, but I only made it until mile four where I started to feel pretty crappy.  I started walking a little bit to and found out my left foot was hurting really bad! I walked about 200 meters and then started running slowly. I ran/walked the last mile. I’m trying to figure out why my foot was hurting. I didn’t bother me that much after I got off the treadmill, so I don’t know what aggravated it. Total run: 5 miles in 52 minutes and 40 seconds.

Anyway, let’s get to today eats so far. This morning I had a bowl of Special K Protein and Kashi H2H with light soymilk and a dab of maple peanut butter. I got the idea to add PB to my cereal from Megan. SUCH a good idea! Its yummy.

I had zero time to make a good lunch today so what I had was pretty boring.

Some strawberry Chobani for my snack. I think the strawberry might just be my favorite.

I also had a cup of my favorite tea!!

I think I may have an addiction to tea. Here’s my collection.

Obsessed? Maybe.

My main lunch: A bowl of Special K Red Berries. BORING!!! I need veggies in my life today.

Here’s the thing about Special K cereal. When I was losing weight consistently I ate it A LOT. I did the whole “Special K Diet” for a long time, but not every day. When I ate a lot for lunch I would eat some for dinner, and if I was planning a big dinner, I’d eat it for lunch. It wasn’t bad, because I loved it! I ate it religiously. But now, I’m getting kind of sick of it, because it’s not very nutritious. But, if you substitute cereal for a meal you do end up cutting calories and in the end, losing weight, but you’re not getting very many nutrients. At least I don’t think you are.

Anyway, with my cereal I had an apple, and a home made granola bar. I may or may not have eaten some Freihofer’s cookies someone left on the table at work…

I have no idea what I’m having for dinner tonight. It’s a mystery.
