Camping Out
After running our hearts out during the half marathon, Chris and I went back to Hearthstone Campground where our camp was set up!
Our friends Katie and Stefan were joining us Saturday at the campground. While they set up their tent Chris and I headed to the showers, then it was time to hang out!
We decided to go into the Lake George Village for some food. We went to Adirondack Pub & Brewery! Chris and I ate here once last year, so we knew we’d enjoy the good beer.
I chose their Belgian White Peach. Yum!!
We all got something different!
There were not many healthy options on the menu at all. Since I wasn’t too hungry for a big meal I got a side of chili cheese fries, without the chili. They were okay–the cheese was a bit dried out on the fries. I ate about half of them. The beer is good–the food, mediocre.
After our meal, we walked down to the village and hit up the ice cream shop where I got some peanut butter frozen yogurt! It hit the spot!
Shortly after we headed back to camp to start our campfire! There was rain in the forecast so we wanted to take advantage of the clear skies…
Chris was good at starting the fire…
And Katie and Stefan found more firewood!
Sadly it started raining at about 8:00–but we still had our fire going strong.
Thankfully Chris’ tent held up and we didn’t get soaked during the all-night downpour! 🙂 Cleaning up the next morning was no fun, though.
It was such a fun weekend in the “ADK”…Adirondacks! Running the race was such an awesome experience and camping was just as fun. 🙂

My very first camping trip was in a torrential downpour – happy memories. ;)That PB frozen yogurt looks seriously amazing.
