Bring on the Warm Weather
Happy Saint Patrick’s day! Hope you are enjoying it! I feel like I already celebrated St Patty’s day with my Shamrock Run, so today I didn’t do much celebrating.
However, a coworker brought in the most delicious Irish soda bread today at work. It was amazing! She makes it every year so I was really looking forward to it this year!
I had to take a few bites before I managed to snap a picture. 😉
Is it just me or did today drag? The weather outside (above 60 degrees!) was calling my name all day. So I couldn’t wait to get outside after work. Chris and I had planned to run in this gorgeous weather tonight. And it was AMAZING when we got out there!!!
1.5 weeks ago my car was stuck in these snowbanks. They’re almost gone! I can’t wait until those hideous mounds of dirt and snow are completely disappeared.
Chris and I ran through Washington Park and even took a detour through the “student ghetto”, AKA the scene of the “Kegs and Eggs Riots“. Did you all hear about that? Crazy to think my first ever college party was on Hudson Ave. I definitely think those kids should pay for the damage they did. Its awful.
Anyway, Chris and I ran 5.0 miles tonight in the warm weather! I had a long-sleeve on but probably didn’t even need that. Spring is in the air, people! And I’m so excited.
Chris even wore green today!
It felt so good to finish a run and have there still be sunlight!!
It took me 49:02 to run 5.15 miles at an average pace of 9:31/mile. It was hard keeping up with Chris–he is super speedy.
It was a sweet run indeed. Bring on more warm weather!
Now, its time to relax. I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday!

I can’t believe all the craziness that happened out your way last weekend. What is wrong with people?!
I’m loving running in warmer temps — really, I’m loving being able to run without worrying about slipping in the snow!

I didn’t get any irish soda bread yesterday – I really wanted some too!
I also went for a run yesterday – it was in the 50s in Massachusetts – so wonderful.
Enjoy your weekend!

I was getting my car serviced yesterday and saw a brief mention about the riots but I didn’t realize the full extent until I clicked the article you linked to. That behavior seriously disgusts me. Ugh.
