    Date Night at Creo

Last night Chris and I had a pre-Thanksgiving date night dinner at Creo Restaurant in Stuyvesant Plaza. I had never been there before, and Chris had been there a few times and said the food was really good, so we decided to head there for a nice dinner. We wanted to celebrate a meal together since we won’t be together on Thanksgiving, as I stay in Albany and he will be going to Pennsylvania to have Thanksgiving with his family. So to Creo we went. I really liked the lighting in the place. The lit up marble looking bar was awesome and would have been really cool to sit at and order drinks while…

    The Thanksgiving Dilemma Part II

Some of you may be wondering about what I’ll be eating Thursday on Thanksgiving if you’ve read my Thanksgiving Dilemma post a few weeks ago. I’m actually pretty happy to say that my dad was successful in his turkey hunting adventures and came  home one day with not only one, but two wild turkeys! And yes, one looked just like this. Sort of. (source) I do have photos of my dad with his birds. I debated, but I’m not going to post the pictures. Even though I’m proud of my dad, I’m not that comfortable looking at the dead animals myself, and I know many of you probably wouldn’t want…

    Typical Sunday

So far my Sunday has been pretty typical. I love when my Sundays consist of relaxing + a longish run. 🙂 This morning started out with some breakfast that I got at the Fresh Market the other day. The serving size for these waffles was weird-210 calories for 3 waffles. But then I opened the package and they were kind of small, so I only had two, drizzled with apple butter and a little bit of almond butter. They were light and fluffy! Probably some of the best frozen waffles I’ve ever had! Frozen waffles are perfect pre-run fuel. 🙂 I headed out for a six mile run at around…

    Enjoying Troy

Today was a pretty low key day. I woke up pretty early to get in a short two mile run. I tried to work some speedwork into it. I did 2 miles in about 20 minutes on the treadmill. It was a nice wake up call! A smoothie for breakfast followed. (Recycled smoothie photo!) In my smoothie this morning: 1 cup almond milk 1/2 packet of Nutribiotic brown rice protein + flax handful of frozen cherries 3 fresh strawberries After my run, I spent the morning with my good friend Marcie! I’ve known Marcie since 8th grade (we were in drama club together!) and she is also a blogger for…

    A Trip to the Market

Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post. It means a lot to me to know that some of you are going through the same thing and I’m not alone! I feel better already. 🙂 —- Last night something important happened. (source) Some of you may already know that I have a slight obsession with the Harry Potter series. Last night Part 1 of the final movie, The Deathly Hallows came out in theaters at midnight, and I was in attendance! This has been the 5th Harry Potter movie I’ve seen at midnight (yeah, I’m a hardcore nerd like that). My friend Brendan and I waited in line…
