Weekly Workout Schedule – 3.25.13

Last week’s workout schedule
Monday – Rest complete
Tuesday – Hot Flow Yoga complete
Wednesday – Spinning complete
Thursday – Spinning and/or Power Yoga actual: 2 mi run + 30 min strength
Friday – TBD actual: rest
Saturday – TBD actual: girlnetic fitness kickoff
Sunday – Long Run or Spinning actual: 7 mi run + 30 min bike
total running mileage – 9 mi

After a pain free run on Thursday (2 miles!), I attempted a long run this weekend on the treadmill. My goal was to try to run 10 miles unless my foot started hurting too bad. I made it to 7 and then my foot started acting up. I’ve been taping it and its been helping, but I had to take off the tape after 3 miles because it was giving me a blister, otherwise I probably could have made it to 10. My marathon training plan called for a 13 mile long run this weekend and that just didn’t happen.

The doctor appointment for my foot is tomorrow, and it can’t come soon enough. I just want someone to tell me this will get better with a few weeks of rest and I can run my marathon in May. But what are the chances of that?

Sunday – Strength

I’m hesitant to put running on my schedule because I have no idea what the doctor will say. Let me just say this PF situation is making me pretty sad and upset about my training. My runs were getting better and I was getting faster. And now this happens.

    I’ve had PF on and off for a long time, I find that the podiatrist I went to was almost no help at all, the only think I have found that helped me is acupuncture.
