Weekly Workout Schedule – 2.11.13

Last week’s schedule

Monday – Rest actual: 45 minute lunar flow yoga @ home
Tuesday – 3 mi run complete
Wednesday – 5 mi run complete
Thursday – 3 mi run actual: 2.5 mi run
Friday – Rest complete
Saturday – Yoga actual: rest
Sunday – 6 mi actual: 6 mi treadmill run, 20 min strength

Total mileage – 16.5 mi

My body really needed those two days of rest last week. After having a horrid run on Thursday, my legs were screaming at me to rest. No yoga, no spinning, nothing. I can’t help but feel guilty when I go two days in a row with zero exercise, but my legs really needed it this time. They felt fresh when I headed to the gym Sunday. Even though I like to get my long runs in outside, the 10 degree weather & snowy sidewalks forced me to the treadmill, which actually went great. I kept a pace of 9:36/mile average for the run. It was sweet!

Workout schedule for this week

Monday – Rest
Tuesday – 3 mi
Wednesday – 5 mi MGP
Thursday – 3 mi
Friday – Rest
Saturday – Yoga
Sunday – 11 mi – HMRRC Winter Marathon Relay – Leg 1 (Leg 1 is 9.7 miles–I’ll just add on mile at the track afterward) This is the third year I’ve done the relay, and every year is so COLD! This year will probably be the same.

Total mileage – 22 mi
