Two Brownies are Better Than One
Yoga and Running are two my favorite things–but when done consecutively are pretty tiring! I am exhausted today!
I fueled for my activities with pumpkin pancakes! Its now March, but I’m still eating pumpkin pancakes! 🙂
Trader Joe’s pumpkin pancakes mix with the toppings:
- sweet cherry butter
- almond butter
- pecans
Today I got up bright and early and headed to yoga class at the Pilates Principal. I bought the Groupon in January and I’m went to my third class there this morning!
The Saturday morning class here has been my favorite yoga class so far–its so fun and the teacher is so helpful. She complimented me on my poses today! I told her I did p90X yoga a few times. 😉 That’s probably been helping!
After yoga I had to hurry to my running date with Melissa. We had 8 miles on the schedule today so we headed to SUNY Albany to run the loop a few times. It turns out the perimeter of campus is approximately 3.0 miles, so we ran around it 2.5 times to get to 8 miles.
We finished in 1 hour and 19 minutes!!! It was pretty tiring considering I had just taken a 1.5 hour yoga class. Before the run I fueled with a power bar, some dates and some clif shot bloks.
Mid-run, I had a Vanilla Gu! It was delicious! And I swear it gave me energy to get through the last two miles, they were pretty tough.

8.0 miles was hard today, but I’m glad Melissa ran with me because she really kept me going! Thanks, Melissa!

Splits – I started my garmin after running .3 miles so the stats are a little bit off.
Right now I’m enjoying an evening with these girls.
And Emily brought over these white chocolate chip raspberry filled brownies. LOVE! And I enjoyed two–because two brownies are better than one! Right?
I think so.
Tomorrow Heather and I are running a shamrock run and it will be fun.

Girl, if you can do p90x yoga, I bet you can tackle any kind of yoga!!! That dvd is HARD. (And it’s super long!)
