Troy Night Out and a Giveaway!
This past weekend was Troy Night Out, a monthly arts festival held in downtown Troy. Its pretty much Troy’s version of Albany’s First Friday. My sister and I decided to check it out!
The square was pretty hoppin’ by 7pm.
I also ran into my friend Marcie, the Hellion!
We went into a bunch of the shops in downtown Troy to see what they had going on and a lot of places had artwork displayed.
Sea creatures made with pipe cleaners? Pretty cool.
Giveaway Time!!
We stopped into one of my all time favorite local stores, Anchor No 5 Boutique. The store features hand made and local goods ranging from artwork, jewelry, soaps, t-shirts, handbags and other accessories! Everything in there is beautiful and I want it all!
After talking with Petra, the shop owner/designer, for a while about how much I loved her store, I asked if she would be willing to do a giveaway for my blog!
She said yes! So one lucky reader will win a $25 shopping spree at Anchor No 5 Boutique in Downtown Troy! The only thing is you have to live in the capital region to enter.

I would buy one of Petra’s little bags because I need something to put my hair stuff and jewelry in when I travel. I’d also buy some pearl-type jewelry (maybe earrings and/or a necklace). I’m pretty sure I’d spend more than the $25, because at that point, why not?!

This store is always on my list of places to stop at during TNO. They have the most unique and beautiful things and the delicious snacks in the back are not to be ignored, either (cowboy caviar, I long for the day I may eat you again). My boyfriend bought an awesome octopus tie there as a wedding gift for a friend, but I know he secretly wanted it for himself. So, I’d probably pick him up one of those snappy ties and then something pretty and sparkly for myself 🙂
