Three Things Thursday

Time for just a quick update tonight!! Here are three things for today:

1. Its finally green in Upstate NY.

This week the temperatures have been in the 70s and 80s and I’m LOVING it. Tuesday night, Chris and I went for a short 2.0 mile run in 80 degrees. I can’t remember the last time I wore a tank and shorts on a run (oh yeah, Florida.) It was hot, but it felt great! We ran around the small trail around the pond, and it was so nice.

2. Warm weather means smoothies for breakfast without freezing my butt off.

This morning I made a pretty tasty strawberry banana protein smoothie, topped with some Elvis granola. It is so so so delicious. BTW, this granola is the best granola I’ve ever made, hands down. I plan on having it stocked in my kitchen, all the time.

3. Despite being so busy lately, I’m still finding time to RUN.

I had a pretty crappy 6.0 mile run on Sunday after coming back from Woodstock, but its not the end of the world. I rested up for a few hours and ran another 2.0 on the treadmill the same night because I felt pretty good. I went to the gym tonight for a 4.0 mile run, which had me sweating buckets (it was really hot in my gym) so I felt pretty good about that! This weekend I’m running the Spring Runoff 10K and a 5K consecutively in the same day. Get excited. I am.

4. So, lied, there are actually four things today. It is also my good friend Heather’s golden birthday!
