Ah, the Boilermaker. A 15K race in Utica that I love to hate. I love this race in theory, but when I’m at mile 6 in 84 degree weather with the hot sun shining down running with 14,000 others and a huge hill to climb, I hate it. But, apparently I forgot those things. I remembered the free beer at the end and the awesome crowd support. I registered for the 2013 race. Just in time too, because it sold out a few hours later.
