    Some Not So Good News

Are you glad its Friday, or what? I am for sure. It’s been a hectic week, with my office holiday party, on Tuesday, and yesterday Chris and my sister’s boyfriend both came over for dinner last night with the family. The holidays are in full swing, that’s for sure. Yesterday morning I started out with something healthy to make up for my crappy eating this week. Honestly, I haven’t been making the best decisions food wise lately. It was probably stupid of me to try to actually lose a few pounds during the holiday season, but right now I’m trying just to maintain my weight through the holidays with lots…

    Real Tree Vs. Fake Tree

Did you all catch my guest post on Heather’s blog on Friday? After a super busy weekend, I am finally getting back into the groove. This weekend went by in a whirl wind. Friday night I went to a sweet sixteen party for my twin cousins, which was a lot of fun Saturday morning I went to Winter Wonderlark for about an hour with my cousin Liz & Marcie. The weather was gorgeous on Saturday (39 degrees in December, I’ll take it), so I decided a long run would be necessary. After Wonderlark I ran a seven mile run outside in 1:08. Not too shabby! Saturday night I went to a fun Christmas party with Chris and his friends. Early Sunday morning we both…

    The Secrets of Winter Running

With my second half marathon two months away (Feb. 6th!) I start training again for the 13.1 distance in a few weeks. But the biggest difference this time: the weather! I began training for my first half marathon in August. The weather was warm, and as my runs got longer, the weather went from sticky and humid to crisp and cool–the perfect running weather. I enjoyed every single one of my long runs outside in gorgeous Fall weather and got to enjoy watching the leaves change before my eyes. And I loved every minute of training! This time, I’m starting in the middle of Winter, or technically the beginning, since…
