Hold Myself Accountable
So, throughout my mini-vacation in California, I did lots of walking at Disneyland, went for one run, and did some more walking, but that’s about it.
That makes one run total for last week, which is really unlike me. I think I needed the short break after the grueling 15K last weekend. It really feels like it was a million years ago. I know sometimes without a specific training goal in mind (a PR, a race, etc.) I start to feel aimless with my running. My goal now is to keep running 15 miles a week, at least, and add a variety of workouts to my routine. My schedule now should be very flexible (done with classes! I got a B in micro!) so I’m going to focus on some new workout routines!
But anyway, this week I’m starting fresh!
Here’s my workout plan for the week.
Tuesday – 3 mile run, hot power yoga
Wednesday – trying a new class at my gym, 3 mile run
Thursday – 5 mile run
Friday – Yoga
Saturday – Long run (7 – 8 miles)
Sunday – a 5K?? – still not sure about this
Total miles – 18 / 21?
So, I need to see some sort of structure to my workouts or I start to get a bit annoyed. Making a set schedule every week should keep me focused and hold myself accountable!

I’m totally in a similar situation. I’ve fallen a little bit off the running wagon – tired & very burnt out. Since I don’t have races lined up until August it’s making me batty! I’m trying to vary my workouts, too, mostly w/bike riding. 🙂
