My Favorite Green Beauty Products Part II

Wow, Earth Day is tomorrow (every day is really Earth Day)! And in honor of this awesome day, here are some of my more of my favorite green products. Even though you may not think so, the chemicals inside our beauty products make their way into our skin and bodies and also down our drain and into our Earth. I feel so good knowing that using these products helps the Earth in a small way. (Check out Part I here).

Kiss My Face Shampoo & Conditioner

Kiss My Face so far has been my favorite natural shampoo. It leaves my hair feeling clean and smells great. I also leaves my hair very manageable, something I’ve had problems with using other natural hair products. The only thing is its pretty expensive (like $7-8 dollars a bottle) so I usually switch between this and my cheap shampoo and conditioner (hey, every little bit counts) to make it last longer.

Tom’s of Maine Whole Care Toothpaste

An all natural toothpaste with no articificial sweetners added. It took some getting used to the flavor of it since its so much different than other toothpaste, but I really love the clean natural mint taste! I don’t like using regular toothpaste after using this one for the past 3 years.

Tom’s of Maine Natural Lavendar Beauty Bar

I love the smell of lavendar because it is so relaxing! And I love this soap. It makes me feel so clean after my shower and I love that I’m not putting any harsh chemicals onto my skin or down my drain!

Of course natural products are going to cost a bit more than the conventional, but in the long run I think its worth it. In case you are wondering, Walmart has been the cheapest place to find them, and also using coupons helps save $$ too!
