Food and Philly
Greetings from Philadelphia! I’m here because I’m attending the Healthy Living Summit, a conference for food, fitness and healthy lifestyle bloggers. 🙂
I drove down with fellow CDNY Bloggers Heather, Alicia and Courtney yesterday and we got to Philly around 2:00 and checked into our hotel.
Alicia and I were hungry so we walked around downtown Philly looking for something quick to eat.
Eventually found ourselves at Reading Terminal Market.
We found a cute Mediterranean place and decided to split a sandwich.
It was tasty and full of flavor!
Shortly after we went back to our hotel and met up with some other bloggers. We hung out for a while and then around 6:00 we walked to dinner!
I had recommending a place called Farmicia where Chris and I ate last time we were in Philly. We LOVED it there, so it seemed only fitting to go back!
Bloggers in action!
The menu is so amazing, eventually I decided to go with a salad since I wanted to eat something lighter. I picked the crabmeat and pear salad.
They were generous with the crabmeat, so every bite of my salad has crab flavor, which was good! The crunch of the almonds on top was delicious. I didn’t taste much of the lemon-mint dressing though, but I think there was a little bit at the bottom.
Since a lot of restaurants are BYOB, we decided to bring our own bottle of wine to share with the table.
It was a delicious red!
After dinner we walked back to the hotel in the rain, but it was still fun. What a great start to our adventure in Philly!

Looks like A LOT of fun! This concept of BYOB to a restaurant is new to me!!! I have NEVER been to a restaurant like that – how cool!
