Easter Brunch at New World Bistro
Hope everyone had a nice holiday! I actually had to get some groceries yesterday morning and while I was at Trader Joe’s, I picked up some Easter Lilies. So pretty.
Chris and I also had brunch plans for Easter at New World Bistro, one of our favorite places. (My favorite restaurant!) When we saw they were having an Easter brunch buffet, we were all for it. Usually I spend Easter with my parents, but they are still living it up in Florida, so it was just Chris and I.
They had: home made sausage, bacon, eggs, shrimp and grits, veggie hash, mac and cheese, soy chorizo, yogurt and fruit, kale salad, blackened green beans, broccoli rabe, frittatas, and cinnamon buns. And more I’m forgetting!
They even had some items you could get cooked to order, like blueberry pancakes or a tofu scramble. We opted to share some pancakes. They were so fluffy and delicious. The blueberries were bursting with flavor. I haven’t had pancakes that good in a long time.
I loaded up with veggies first, sampled the veggie hash, beans, broccoli and the frittata (delicious), then went back for some more mac and cheese since it was incredible. It was so creamy and had a very smoky flavor, too, which was awesome.
For a $25 brunch, you can’t beat it. The food is very fresh, local and full of flavor. I truly do love this restaurant! It was the best brunch I’ve had.
I can’t forget about the Machu Peachu drink I ordered, which tasted like a fuzzy navel (one of my drinks of choice in college…ahem). Very tasty.
