Dogfish Head Beer Night
So yesterday I took the bus home from work since it was “Green Your Commute Day” at work. The ride home wasn’t too bad, only about 25 minutes. I got to relax and listen to my ipod. I used to take the bus every day for a year back when I was in school and had to get to my internship, so I got pretty used to taking the CDTA!
I will definitely take the bus again on the days I just don’t feel like driving.
After work I met Chris at The Ruck, a bar in Troy. They were having a special Dogfish Head Beer night! Dogfish Head is a beer brewed in Delaware, not too far from New York. 😉
There were tons of Dogfish Head beers to choose from!
My sister, and our friends Rob, Caitlyn and Vicky were already also came to check out the beer.
After tasting what Caitlyn had, the Black & Blue, I decided to go with that one. Its considered an “occasional rarity”. It was delicious!
The Ruck seemed like a college dive-bar, but it was actually kind of cool. It was pretty crowded by the time I got there. It was more of the college scene (I felt so old!). We had a good time! It was a cool place (when its not so crowded) to sit down and have a drink.
After leaving the Ruck, we needed to find a place for dinner, so a bunch of us decided to go to Jose Malones just a few blocks away. I had heard some really good things about the food, so I was glad to finally check it out.
It was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m going to save the review for another post, but it was awful. Stay tuned…
