Dinner Tonight
For the first time in a long time I cooked myself an actual meal for dinner. Usually I have a smoothie or an egg sandwich and call that dinner, but after I got home from an four mile run at the gym I felt like having an actual meal.
I had some frozen salmon in my freezer that had been sitting there for awhile. Usually I’m too lazy to defrost and cook it, but tonight that changed. I cooked up the salmon in a pan with olive oil, super easy.
I made some couscous as a side, which took all of five minutes. All I needed now was some veggies!
Enter Birds Eye Vegetables! As a part of the Foodbuzz tastemaker program, occasionally companies will send me food! I got chosen to try out some Bird’s Eye Steamfresh vegetables. Tonight I picked the lightly sauced cream spinach!
I’m a big fan of creamed spinach, so I was looking forward to trying it and this was a healthy alternative. The steamfresh bags are super convenient, which I love. Just pop them in the microwave for the amount of time on the directions on the bag, and then you have a vegetable side dish ready to go. It was a great healthy addition to my meal.
Salmon is probably one of my favorite meals to make because its just so easy and healthy, too.
