Weight Loss

Dietbet

When I first started this blog back in 2010, this was mainly a place for me to talk about the food I was eating, my running, workouts and to help hold myself accountable after losing so much weight. Well, after a certain period of time, I began eating like a “normal” person again (eating real foods instead of processed diet foods which was what I was eating to lose weight) and gained back some of the weight I lost (about 15 pounds). Looking back, when I was at my lowest weight, I was working out every day and eating probably 1200 calories per day. 1200 calories is ideal for someone actively losing weight, but was not nearly enough to sustain me through marathon training and long distance running.

Right now, I would like to lose about 10-15 pounds. The other day a fellow blogger asked if anyone was interested in doing a Dietbet with her. I said, sure, I’ll sign up. What can be more motivating than money? For $10, you download the Dietbet app and track your weight loss. Whoever loses 4% of your body weight in 1 month wins the money! If you don’t get to your goal weight, you get nothing.

Losing 10 pounds is hard, especially when I eat considerably healthy and already work out regularly. I’ve been trying to do it for the past two years, with no success. I just don’t want to gain any more weight back! I’m going to track my eating and exercise on My Fitness Pal.  I’m probably not going to talk much about it on here, but maybe I’ll post some results if I’m successful. I’ve done it once before, so I’m hopeful I can do it again!
