CDNY Eat Drink Blog Cookie Swap

Just when I think I can’t eat any more cookies, I make six dozen Chocolate Macroon Bars and head to a cookie swap with other local bloggers hosted by Heather. It was amazing. (my guiltless white bean guacamole) My plate Mac & cheese Winter salad Polenta casserole Fruit salad and pumpkin soup (unpictured) The goods (CDNY cookies made by Heather!) Yay for finally getting to meet Liz!!! I had such a great time at the cookie swap–and now I’m in a sugar coma! The sugar detox will take place next week. Catching Up

Okay, this post is going to be all over the place so bear with me! I have a lot of catching up to do since I pretty much took Saturday + Sunday off from blogging for a relaxing weekend! Let me rewind to Saturday… Saturday morning I dug back into my Trader Joe’s pancake mix and made some pumpkin waffles, which were amazing by the way. The Stockade-athon 15K

Another Sunday, another race in the books and another race bib to add the collection! This morning Chris and I got up bright and early to go pick up Heather. Heather was supposed to run the 15K with us, but she fell and got injured a few weeks ago, so she stayed on the sidelines and spectated for us! 🙂 Thanks for the support Heather, you’re amazing! (Heather was also my personal photographer on the course!) Love her awesome sign?? I do! 🙂 Anyway, the race started at 9AM sharp, and it was COLD. We waited around at the start for about 30 minutes and tried to get warm by…

    Squirrelly Six Mile Trail Race

Happy Halloween! Today I did one of the most fun things I could think of on Halloween day...run my first trail race!! The Albany Running Exchange puts on this Halloween themed race: The Hairy Gorilla Half Marathon and Squirrelly Six Mile Trail Races at Thacher State Park in Voorheesville. It was AWESOME!!! All of the runners were dressed up, and they had some of the course even decorated for Halloween! There were even live gorillas hiding in the trees… I, of course, was running the six mile, another half marathon is way too soon for me! I also dressed up as a bumble bee. 😉 I got there at about…

    Grocery Shopping with Bloggers

Today was awesome! The Blends (Blogger Friends) and I went on a day trip to Hadley, MA to visit their Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods for some grocery goodness! Katie, Courtney, Emily, the other Emily, Heather, Rebecca and I all piled into Cynthia’s super van. To Whole Foods we went! First stop: Whole Foods hot bar!!! I was starving by the time we got there and loaded up on good stuff. This just looks like a mixture of everything. In the mix: Fruit Salad (at the bottom) Roasted sweet potato (at the bottom) Noodles Falafel Pineapple quinoa salad Sesame Tofu (amazing) Vegan chicken salad (at the bottom, and completely amazing!)…
