Barhopping in Hell’s Kitchen

Saturday night while visiting Krista and Jackie in Queens, we decided to take the train back into Manhattan to go out for drinks!

We first went to Hell’s Kitchen (no lack of bars there!) and ended up at Riposo 46. I came here back in August with Chris and loved the vibe, so I recommended it to the girls! It is such a cool wine bar. I ordered a Syrah (again, not local. I really failed at the Green Challenge this weekend, unfortunately.)

We also ordered a small cheese plate of smoked gouda to go with our wine, which was also pretty tasty, but managed to forget to photograph it.

We finished our wines and wandered around the neighborhood. We found a place that looked like a dive but actually ended up being pretty awesome. It was called The Bull Moose Saloon. Time for one more drink, a blue point toasted lager! Finally, a New York beer, brewed in Long Island! Mine is in the middle. It was tasty. So maybe I didn’t fail 100%.

We ended up chatting and catching up just like old times for a long time in this place, and it was really nice! I love my former roomies! 🙂

What’s better than good friends and good drinks? Not much.
