Attune Foods Uncle Sam Cereal

I recently had the opportunity to review some new cereal! Anne recently sent out a tweet to see if anyone would be willing to review some Attune Foods products and I jumped right on that!

Their cereal seemed to be pretty tasty so she had them send me two boxes, the strawberry and honey almond. And how interesting that they are called Uncle Sam Cereals, as my current place of residence was the home of the Uncle Sam.

This morning I finally got around to trying out the strawberry high fiber cereal!

The cereal is made of toasted winter wheat berries and flax seeds which makes it high in fiber and protein. Score! I need something to keep me full all morning, and this cereal did a pretty good job! I topped mine with some Mu Mu Muesli for good measure and crunch (actually I’m just obsessed with the stuff.)

I have never had wheat berries before, but they offered a different flavor to the cereal, which I really enjoyed. I also loved the sweetness of the dried strawberries! If I had some fresh fruit on hand I would have topped my cereal with some, so the dried fruit made up for it.

The ingredients list is short and sweet, the way I like it.

The only thing is that the cereal is a tad pricey for my budget, at $4.49 for a 10 oz box. Other than that, I’d say this cereal is a winner. I can’t wait to try the honey almond!
