Last week’s schedule
Monday – Tawasentha XC 5K #3 complete, ran the 5K in 35:42
Tuesday – Yoga actual: rest
Wednesday – Track workout – 4 Mi, inc Warm; 2×1600 in 8:43 w/800 jogs; Cool complete
Thursday – Easy Run actual: 2.5 AM miles
Friday – Rest
Saturday – TBD actual: volunteered with Veggie Mobile all day, does lifting heavy vegetable crates count as upper body strength?
Sunday – 9 miles actual: 9 mi on treadmill in under 10:00 mile average
Last week was the first week of school for me, so I had to get up early to get in a few of my runs, which I really don’t mind because I kind of like running as the sun comes up! On Wednesday morning Loretta and I met at the local track for some speed training. I didn’t do what I posted above, what I did was 400 meter repeats.
Sunday it was 90% humidity outside, and instead of dealing with what I knew would have been an awful, slow painful run, I went to my air conditioned gym for 9 miles on the treadmill. I broke it up into a 3.5 mile run and a 5.5 mile run, which wasn’t so bad. I also managed to keep my pace under a 10 minute mile. That never would have happened had I ran outside.
Workout schedule for this week
Monday – 3.1 miles in 30 minutes (treadmill) / weight lifting: back complete
Tuesday – Rest/Yoga
Wednesday – Tempo Run, 5 Mi, inc Warm; 3 Mi @ 9:13; Cool
Thursday – Easy run
Friday – Rest
Saturday – Hiking
Sunday – 10 miles

Where are you hiking on Saturday? I’ll be up in the ADKs on Sunday hiking a short 7-8 mile trip to bank two peaks if you’d like to join! Possibly attempting to run 12 this Saturday… I have it in my head that I’m not doing the half but will give a long run one last shot!

We are camping in Wilmington, so we were thinking about doing Whiteface on Saturday (Have to be home Sunday afternoon). I need to run 10 miles on Sunday so I’m doing the reverse that you are…haha

If your goal is to get all 46… there is a second peak up there – Esther. If you leave from the weather center, you’ll pass it along the way!
