Sure Signs of Spring

Yesterday was the first day so far this season that I’ve felt like it’s actually springtime. The trees are blooming with buds and the grass is finally green! I’ve been waiting 6 months for warm weather, and yesterday we got it, with a high of 73. It was perfect.

I was supposed to run 7 miles last night but with this weather I just couldn’t resist taking my new bike out for a ride.

I love it! I rode 13.6 miles total–and felt great afterward. I even made a stop at Albany’s Buckingham Park to see the fountains–a sure sign of Spring! My Grandma used to take my sister and I here as kids to see the ducks and walk around the pond. I have lots of fond memories of this place.
