Black Friday Madness
Every year the day after Thanksgiving, since I can remember, my sister and I have gone out at an ungodly hour to go shopping on Black Friday. I guess it’s more of a tradition now!
Last year my sister and I went to Boscov’s with our friend to wait in line at 4AM, in the cold. The line looked like this.

But instead, this year, we got up this morning at 5AM and made to the mall at 6:30. Most of the stores we wanted to go to were opening then. I wanted to go to Gap since they were having 50% off the entire store before 10AM.
The crowds actually weren’t all that bad either. We actually found a parking spot pretty close to the entrance of the mall.
I scored a sweet new running jacket for $30 (originally $60!).
I wore it to the gym today and I’m in love! It’s awesome.
I also got a few new tops, and some cozy socks from Gap. We went to a few other stores to check out the sales and I was surprised at how good they were (most stores at 40-50% off the entire store). The key: getting there early since most sales end at 9 or 10AM!
My sister and I were done shopping by 9AM. Beautiful.
Do you go shopping on Black Friday? If so, did you score any sweet deals today?

good thing you got there when you did, I worked 6AM to 3PM, and someone told me around 9AM that the lines of GAP were out the door! glad you got some good stuff 🙂

there were no lines anywhere when I went..I was also at colonie center, but I don’t know if that was less crowded than xgates!

I was going to go if I saw any deals that were worth it, but unfortunately none of the fliers I saw had anything that great. Oh well…there’s always “Cyber Monday” 🙂

Wow, I definitely prefer to say far away from malls today! 🙂
