Barbecues and Tulips

On Sunday after breakfast with my mom, Chris and I had a barbecue to attend. Our friend Rob and his girlfriend Caitlin have a big yard with a grill at their apartment complex, so we headed over for some food and good times!

I brought a couscous salad and some brownies to the shindig.

Better than crack brownies? Yes, please.

Someone made these cute little pudding cups, too. They were delicious!

Chris was the grill master!

He grilled up a salmon burger for me! It was tasty! I also enjoyed some pasta salad along with some couscous.

In my couscous salad:

  • 1 cup of whole wheat couscous (prepared with veggie broth according to package)
  • 2 TBSP of parsley
  • lemon juice from half of a lemon
  • olive oil
  • pecans

And then we watched the guys play kickball.

Awesome, guys! It was quite amusing.

After the picnic, we went back to Chris’ to drop some things off. We also decided to check out Tulipfest since it seemed to be winding down and I had an urge to see the tulips.
