A Plan

I’ve spent the past few months building a decent running base and I’m pretty happy with how things are progressing. I’ve been doing speedwork or tempo runs on the treadmill once a week for the past four months and I’ve been seeing solid results! (Results meaning decent race times). I’m now back to my pre-marathon pace of 9:30 average miles for most of my runs. However, I can’t seem to break the 9:20s. This is something I’m hoping to do this month.

A half marathon with an average pace under 9:20 is my ultimate goal–with a few more solid weeks of training will hopefully get me there!

I saw this on my run last week–I have no idea how I managed it, but it has been years since I saw eights on my average pace for a run.

This is the first time I’ve been injury-free in a long time (lets hope I didn’t just jinx myself) and I’ve been feeling great. I have some pretty big running goals for 2014 and I’m hoping a solid base and staying free of injury will get me there when it comes time. 😀
